Created by Vasco Rodrigues for the Coursera Game Design and Development 1 Course, 2D Shooter assignment.

Changes made to the base project:

  • Completely new artwork: stylization of all characters, menus, buttons, game icon, mouse crosshair;
  • Added 4 types of enemies including a boss;
  • Created new animations for the characters;
  • Added new music and sound effects;
  • Created 3 different levels, each introducing a different mechanic:
    • 1 - stationary and stationary zombies with projectiles;
    • 2 - chasing zombies, and flashlight style lighting in the environment, with dark environment around the player;
    • 3 - final boss battle.
  • UI centralization: win screen, game over, main menu, instructions, pause and level selection are prefab variants, and changes made to the base prefab are propagated to all prefabs.
